Please note that there are different terms for the two forms of auctions.

Yellowbase

Sale of items
If you wish to put an item up for auction on Yellowbase.dk's Internet auctions, you may delivered the item to our showroom: Yellowbase ApS, 50 Husumgade, 2200 Copenhagen N, Denmark.
You will receive a receipt for the item. The item will be estimated and if you decide to put the item up for auction it will be kept in the showroom during the auction. You can choose to set a minimum price for the item.
We will put a photo and a description of the item in the auction on the Internet. You may also choose to send us a photo of the item and arrange further through the telephone or via email.
You can trace the auction for your items on Yellowbase.dk and after the end of the auction you will receive an email informing you on the possible sale and the final price at the end of the auction.
The final price of the item at the end of the auction will have 10% deducted in fees, however the minimum fee is DKK 200. You will receive your settling of accounts no later than 30 days after the end of the auction. If you have informed Yellowbase of your account details the settling of accounts will be done by means of this.

People to People

Sale of items
If you wish to sell an item using the auction People to People you must follow the instructions under the menu "Create an auction / selling items" on the front page. It is a simple procedure as long as you follow the menu.
You do all the neccesary steps yourself: you photograph the item, describe it and put it up for auction on the website. The photograph must be digital and saved on your computer. You do not need to make an estimate of the item but you can indicate the value by putting a minimum price for the item. The item will not be sold for a price less than your chosen minimum.
After the end of the auction you will receive an email with the information on the possible sale and the final price at the end of the auction.
Please note that you must dispatch the item in case the buyer wishes to receive it at his home. Also please note that you shall pay for this dispatch. You will receive a sum of money to go towards the dispatching. Read more on this under "logistics".
The settling of the accounts is done through Yellowbase. In this way payment of the item is ensured. As soon as Yellowbase has received the payment you will be asked to dispatch the item, which must be done within 5 days. You can trace your item on the website from you enter it on the Internet to the final settling of the accounts. "Create an auction / selling items". You will receive your settling of accounts no later than 30 days after the end of the auction. If you have informed Yellowbase of your account details the settling of accounts will be done by means of this.
The final price of the item at the end of the auction will have 5% deducted in fees, however the minimum fee is DKK 150.

Sales conditions for selling items within the Yellowbase auction

  1. The seller agrees to be the legal owner of the item. The seller also makes sure that the items in all respects are unattached.
  2. The items which are handed in will be estimated by Yellowbase to the best of our ability and conviction and following the best possible examination of the item. The estimated price reflects the price Yellowbase expects the item to reach at the auction. You can choose a minimum price for the item under which the item will not be sold. The item goes to the highest bid which is reached at the auction.
  3. The item is insured against fire, theft and damages by water from the time of delivery and until 5 days after the end of the auction. The amount insured and the compensation is set to a maximum of the final estimate.
  4. The final price of the item at the end of the auction will have 10% deducted in fees, however the minimum fee is DKK 200 including VAT. This amount covers all the costs of the sale and is deducted at the final settling of accounts.
  5. No fees are charged for items which are not sold at the end of an auction.
  6. The settling of the accounts with the seller is done as soon as possible and no later than 30 days following the end of the auction under the condition that both the buyer and seller have fulfilled their commitments. If you have informed Yellowbase of your account details the settling of accounts will be done by means of this.
  7. The buyer has the right to cancel the purchase, if after the auction, it is demonstrated that the purchased is an forgery. If the item is paid for, the buyer is entitled to get the full payment back. In case of claims, the seller is obliged to return the total payment received incl. costs. In case Yellowbase must sort out compensation to the buyer following a discovery of faults when the item reaches the seller, the seller is also obliged to pay the costs of this to Yellowbase.
  8. If the buyer does not go through with and recognise the purchase, Yellowbase reserves the right to re-run the auction in the name of the seller.
  9. The seller cannot cancel an ongoing auction. Yellowbase reserves the right to stop an auction or prolong it if a technical situation forces Yellowbase to do so. If the auction is cancelled yellowbase has the right to make the item available for another auction.
  10. Purchases and sales are conducted under rules of VAT on items used when no other arrangements have been made.

Sales conditions for selling items through the People to People auctions

Items sold through the auctions People to People are part of a sale of used items between two private parties, where both the seller and the buyer have chosen the People to People auction to conduct their trade. Yellowbase offers the technical auction arrangements and makes sure that the seller receives payment for the item and that the item corresponds with the description and the image in the auction. This is done according to the following conditions:

  1. The seller agrees to be the legal owner of the item. The seller also makes sure that the items in all respects are unattached.
  2. The seller creates the auction by following the instructions under "Create an auction / selling items".
  3. The item does not have an estimate. The item is put at auction for a minimum price under which no bids can be placed. The item is sold to the highest bid made at the auction.
  4. Yellowbase reserves the right to remove/delete items on auction, if the minimum price is not credible in relation to a realistic final price. In case items are deleted, the seller will receive notice via e-mail.
  5. The seller is obliged to dispatch the item within 5 days of the end of the auction and after the payment has been done to Yellowbase. At the end of the auction the seller will receive an e-mail with the buyers name and address. The seller will also receive notification when the payment has been received. After this point the item is dispatched at the sellers cost and risk. The seller has the option to choose to receive a sum of money towards the dispatching. The buyer can also choose to collect the item directly from the seller. Read more about this under "logistics".
  6. The seller can trace the selling and logistics process under "Create an auction / selling items"
    Here the seller will be informed of:
    a. The status of the auction.
    b. Payment issues.
    c. Dispatching issues.
  7. The final price of the item at the end of the auction will have 5% deducted in fees of sale, however the minimum fee is DKK 150 including VAT. The amount covers the use of the database including your "sale of items" page. The fee is deducted at the time of the settling of the accounts.
  8. No fees or other costs are charges for items which are not sold at auction.
  9. The settling to the seller will be done as quickly as possible and within 30 days after the end of the auction if both the buyer and the seller have fulfilled their commitments. If the seller has informed Yellowbase of his bank account details the settling of the accounts will be done through this.
  10. The buyer has the right to cancel the purchase, if after the auction, it is demonstrated that the item purchased is an forgery. If the item has been paid for, the Buyer is entitled to get the full payment back. In case of possible claims, the Seller is obliged to return the total received payment price, incl. costs. In case Yellowbase must sort out compensation to the buyer following a discovery of faults when the item reaches the seller, the seller is also obliged to pay the costs of this to Yellowbase.
  11. In case the buyer does not go through with or recognises the sale the seller has the right to re-run the auction.
